On this afternoon's Dol Dhachaigh we have a special interview with Peigi Wood who is one of the contributors to BBC ALBA's forthcoming documentary - Talisker Land For Heroes.

The programme which will be broadcast on Monday 1st April, shines a light on a mass emigration within the Highlands and Islands which saw a significant number of islanders from Lewis and Harris resettle in Skye in the early 1920s.

Peigi Wood, who is now 90 years-old, is a second-generation settler in North Talisker, whose parents made the journey to Skye from Harris.

There the settlers made Skye their home, with 69 crofts created in three new townships, Portnalong, Fernilea and Fiscavaig.

Join Catriona MacLean from 4.30pm for the show where she will bring you the full interview, the latest local and national news, we'll also have a preview of this weekend shinty action as well as Catriona's own jukebox of tunes.
