mactv Mugshots
Bill Morrison : MD and Head of Finance & Business affairs
Bill gets all of the jobs no one else wants to do, like dealing with contracts, managing the finances, maintaining the infrastructure, etc. He occasionally is given a role in a production but never gets a credit.
Ann Morrison : Head of Productions
Ann oversees all development and production work which in effect means she's supposed to know who, where, when (and how much?).
Current holder of the long service medal.
Calum Angus Mackay : Creative Director / Director (Camera)
CA gets all the good jobs - normal working week spent between airport departure lounges and Cal Mac ferry terminals.
Carbon footprint – slightly muddy but neutralised by less use of a PC. Always welcomes stubborn creative types!
Peigi Macinnes : Production Accountant
Pays the bills and answers to the word 'receipt'!
Mairi Maclean : Producer
Part time producer when not on maternity leave! Specialty multi-tasking!
Catriona Macleod : Production Manager
From IT disasters to catering dramas. Crisis management and risk avoidance. Job description too varied and changeable to list!
Melissa Thompson : Development Producer
Currently co-ordinates the English language commissions for the company - keen Gaelic learner with useful and comprehensive knowledge of Gaelic safari animals.
Duncan MacKinnon : Researcher
In London you "mind the gap", in Stornoway you fill it; Duncan currently works across production from directing to tea making … they say never work with animals and children – Duncan does both!
Jayne Macleod : Researcher
Jayne spends most of her time translating and talking on the phone to
contributors!
David Martin : Director
Just started a year's placement and hoping to find out what exactly a ‘dirty 2’ is!
Chris Gillies : Editor
Chris enjoys occupying the edit-suite with a window and spends his time
trying to make it look as if the directors know what they're doing. Not
always an easy task.
Joanna Vallely : Researcher / Journalist
Based in Edinburgh and working on the Trusadh series. A recent recruit with
a collection of bad puns to take Stornoway by storn.
Cara Fraser : Production Assistant
I joined Mactv in May 2008. I am a new member to the production team and
enjoying working in this very busy office. Hard work but fun!
Carol Thompson : Editor
Carol pursued the TV course at Sabhal Mor Ostaig and then following work
placements in post production at at BBC Scotland in Glasgow, has joined
MacTv as assistant editor. She is currently seeking guidance from Chris on how to
make the directors look as if they know what theyre doing.
Eilidh Macdonald : Director
"Current specialist subject is rural Post Offices but this will change again
when I get my next directing project - book of stamps anyone?!"
